Loan Finder Store, a division of Ownright Custom Finance (“we”, “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and, where it applies, the credit reporting provisions of the Privacy Act and the Credit Reporting Code.

What we collect

• Contact details: name, mobile, email, postcode and address.
• Information about your finance needs: loan purpose, amount, timing and any quotes.
• Financial information: income, employment, expenses, assets, liabilities and living situation.
• Identity information, such as your driver’s licence or passport, when you apply.
• Credit-related information, with your consent, when an application proceeds.
• Website information such as pages visited, device and referral data, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, assess which lenders and products may suit you, prepare and submit applications you ask us to make, communicate with you by phone, SMS and email, meet our legal obligations, and improve our services.

Who we share it with

With your agreement, we share information with lenders and finance providers on our panel, and with service providers who help us operate (for example CRM, identity verification and bank-statement retrieval services). Home loan refinance enquiries are handled by our home lending team at Ownright Custom Finance, and business enquiries with our business lending team. We don’t sell your personal information.

Storage and security

Information is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable providers using access controls. Some providers may store data outside Australia; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it’s protected.

Marketing

We may contact you about your enquiry and related products. You can opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link, replying STOP to an SMS, or contacting us.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct your information, or make a privacy complaint, through our contact form. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, for credit matters, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (afca.org.au).
